I visited the North West Region last month at Pleasington GC, and I would like to place on record an appreciation for the professionalism of the organisation of the day by Regional Secretary Howard Williams.
I arrived to find everything perfectly set up, PowerPoint ready and the agenda for the day clearly communicated via the display screen throughout the meeting. The attendance was well in excess of 50 members and a very purposeful business meeting then transpired.
This was a fine example of how the standard of many of our Regions has increased considerably over the last few years and I was pleased to be part of a very useful and thought provoking interactive exchange of information that co-incided with my own presentation of thoughts for change in 2011.
Just a quick note to say that was the best organised/informative GCMA
meeting I have been present at. Well done.
Thanks very much for a great day yesterday.
As ever it was a pleasure to come along to a gathering and meet up with other Secretaries. It’s just a shame I don’t get along to enough of them.
The meeting was well organised, balanced and informative, lunch was spot on and the company in the afternoon most enjoyable.
That was a good meeting yesterday, at long last we have something structured!
Play was rather slow! Four and a half hours on a good day is not
acceptable. We are supposed to be setting an example but we appear to be
slower that the members we are trying to quicken up in club events!
